Vision to Launch

In 2016, Sam left his job at Mission to the World to begin assembling a community of people who were focused on bringing the vision of Sacred Roots Farm to fruition. Between 2016 and 2018, God provided the funds, land, the people, the training, curriculum, and labor to modify the existing space to meet our needs. We launched in the fall of 2018, receiving our first participant.

Lessons Learned

In our first year, we served 6 participants. We have seen God do amazing things. Records of Sobriety broken every day. Moms regaining custody of their children. Daughters reestablishing relationships with their parents. People growing in there responsibility of life skills. Education and employment being pursued. Young women who were beaten down are beginning to envision a new future for their lives.

Growing to Scale

We are striving to be economically efficient by becoming less expensive than the cost of federal imprisonment. We are also striving to create a sustainable facility of excellence as we grow. In order to achieve this we are in process of acquiring our own farm, that will allow us to receive 12 new participants per year in an area where strategic resources will be accessible to improve our service. We need you to make that happen.
